Ingredients
For the Chicken Paprikash:
2–3 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
1 whole chicken (cut into pieces) or 6–8 bone-in thighs/drumsticks
2 large onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
1 bell pepper, sliced (optional but traditional)
1 tomato, chopped (or ½ cup canned tomatoes)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups chicken broth
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
Salt & pepper, to taste
For the Dumplings (Nokedli):
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
½ cup water (or as needed)
