2. How to Prepare the Mixture
In a bowl, combine the chopped onion, crushed garlic, and baking soda. Pour in the vinegar slowly — it will fizz. You can add a small splash of water to dilute the mixture if needed. Stir well.
3. Where to Place It
Put the bowl in areas where you’ve seen flies or cockroaches — under the sink, behind the fridge, near the trash can, or in the corners of your kitchen or bathroom.

Within an hour, the smell (strong to us, but unbearable to pests) will drive away flies and cockroaches. Garlic and onion act as natural repellents, while vinegar and baking soda break down their scent trails and disrupt their habitat.
