The enigma that makes everyone think
Here is the famous question that set social networks ablaze:
“I have six eggs. I broke two of them. I fried two of them. I ate two. How much do I have left? »
Simple, right? And yet, as soon as you look at it, the brain starts to hesitate. Some answer instinctively, others reread the sentence several times, convinced that there is a trap somewhere. And they are right: everything depends on the way we interpret actions.
Why this riddle is so confusing
This type of challenge works because it plays on our automatisms. Our brains love to move fast, especially when the numbers are small and the actions familiar. Here, we add and subtract mentally… without always taking the time to analyze whether the actions relate to the same objects.
