This essential oil is also used in many other traditional remedies due to its powerful antibacterial, antioxidant, and antifungal properties. Celal Bayar, a renowned Turkish university, conducted a study on the effects of wild thyme on breast cancer cells. At the end of the study, they found that wild thyme is a very promising candidate in the development of new therapeutic drugs for the treatment of breast cancer.
To use the essential oil optimally, dilute a few drops in a carrier oil. Then apply the mixture with your fingertip to the back of the palate and near the affected area. Given this oil’s powerful properties, dilution is highly recommended.
To consume it, simply add 1 or 2 drops to a spoonful of honey.
Fresh thyme is also used in many healthy diets, many cooking recipes, in the preparation of infusions, and combined in salads with vegetables or fruits.
